Day Camp

Day Campers can enjoy all the benefits of going to a Camp Fire camp during the day at Camp Glen, while returning to their home each night. Camp Glen is located on the banks of the Sandusky River just outside of McCutchensville.

You do NOT have to be a member of Camp Fire to attend a summer camp.  It’s open to all boys and girls!

Did you know…..Camp Fire Membership is NOT required to attend camp.

Youth entering grades K – 6th may register for Day Camp. We provide transportation for campers to Camp Glen from the Camp Fire Office, or campers have the option to be dropped off at Camp Glen by a parent or guardian.

Camp Glen Day Camp (From Findlay Area)

Campers will be NOT be transported to Camp Glen, due to COVID restrictions and youth safety. Daily drop-off and pick-up will be at Camp Glen at designated times. There will be NO overnight options available this year.

Campers must bring water bottle, sack lunch and two snacks daily.

Camp Glen (From Tiffin Area)

Parent/guardian must provide their child’s transportation out to Camp Glen for this day camp. Daily drop-off and pick-up will be at our Camp Glen facility. There will be NO overnight camps this year due to COVID restrictions and youth safety.

Campers must bring water bottle, sack lunch and two snack daily.

Session One-Traditional

July 6th-10th

Our traditional day camp includes swimming, archery, fishing, canoeing, crafts and outdoor adventures. Traditional Camp include and walk through our Thriveology framework, developed by the Thrive Foundation to help kids find their Spark: through nature, develop a growth
mindset, and reflect on their outcomes! Join us for fun filled days of making friends and trying new things.

Session Two-Amazing Race

July 13th-17th

You may have seen The Amazing Race on T.V., come on enjoy the experience for yourself! Become part of a team and compete in the ultimate race around Camp Fire. Amazing race incorporates traditional key elements of team building activities: it encourages communication,
decision making under pressure and creative problem solving.

Session Three-Super Hero’s

July 20th-24th

Unlock your super powers during this adventure-filled week. Discover the hero in you through challenges, adventures, and good deeds. Grab your mask and capes as we launch ourselves into fun and games!

Session Four-Mad Science

July 27th-31st

Put on your engineer’s hats for this exciting week of science activities. We will learn about chemical reactions that they might encounter in our daily lives and the nature of birds and beasts, as we take a walk on the wild side of science.

Session Five-Rain Forest Adventure

August 3rd-7th

Walking the “camouflage trail” campers learn the importance of animal adaptation and what can be done to help protect our fragile ecosystems.

Session Seven-S’more Camp Fun Before Back to School

August 17th-21st

Want to have S’more fun? With the first day of school looming in the distance, it may feel as if all hope is lost to find a summer camp. We are headed back into the woods for one last fun-filled adventure. Have a blast playing games, hiking, learning about nature and more.

CAMPER INFO:

All Camps take place at Camp Glen 6580 S, Township Rd 131 Tiffin, OH.

During camp everyone must wear tennis shoes and youth will need to bring the following:

  • A sack lunch, one that does not require refrigeration, and drink or water bottle.
  • Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and bug spray.
  • Sweat shirts, jeans and old tennis shoes – for cool weather and exploring.
  • Sandals and flip flops are permitted only to be worn only on beach area.
  • Pop will be available for sale during lunch. Bring small amounts of cash if planning to make pop purchases.
    -Water is available all day. Campers are encouraged to bring water bottles to fill throughout the day.
